Kuun to face Currie Cup hearing for striking

Blue Bulls flanker Derick Kuun will attend a South African Rugby Union (Saru) disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Tuesday afternoon.

Kuun was cited for foul play (striking) during his team’s Currie Cup semifinal game against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday, which the hosts won.

Saru issued a statement which said that Kuun was cited under Law 10.4 (a) for striking Sharks hooker Bismarck du Plessis in the 56th minute of the game.

The Sharks beat the Blue Bulls 16-12 so their Currie Cup season has already ended.
