Sale Sharks travel to Italy to face Petrarca Rugby at the Stadio Plebscitio in this weekend’s Amlin Challenge Cup action. Share The Sharks will be confident following their demolition of El Salvador 97-11.
Sale will be hoping Tom Brady and Nick MacLeod’s can repeat their heroics of last week and that form will be as incisive as it was against the Spanish side.
England international Matthew Tait returns at full back to give the team added quality and extra cutting-edge.
Speaking ahead of the game Tait said: “I am very keen to make up for lost time. The knee operation was to clean out some debris and I feel great now and can’t wait to get a good run of games playing for Sale Sharks under my belt.”
Petrarca Rugby will be hoping to salvage something against the English giants, who have won the competition twice, after their defeat by Brive.
The 1997 Challenge Cup champions will look to continue their good form after beating Petrarca 32-6 before returning to European action against the Sale Sharks on the December 11.
Brewer added, ” We need to get our set piece right, be aggressive in the collision area and get quick ball from the ruck. Dwayne Peel has been left out as a precaution as he picked up a groin strain training with Wales, but it gives another opportunity to Will Cliff.”
