Cheetahs give Daniller some Currie Cup rest

The Cheetahs will be without fullback Hennie Daniller for their Currie Cup rugby encounter with the Pumas in Bloemfontein on Friday.

Coach Naka Drotské has confirmed Daniller will be rested for the match, as he has played every match this season in both the Super 14 and Currie Cup without a break.

Riaan Smit takes over in the No15 jersey for the match that is of vital importance, as the top sides begin to scramble for semifinal places in the latter stages of the competition.

The only other change from the side that went down 30-16 against the Sharks last weekend is in the front row, where WP Nel replaces Cobus Calldo.
