Cueto and Lewis-Roberts back in Sale squad

England International Mark Cueto and Eifion Lewis-Roberts have been named in a 27 man squad ahead of Sunday’s televised Aviva Premiership game away to Saracens.

Cueto who toured with England during the Summer, has been suffering with a calf injury but is now fully fit and is ready to return

Lewis-Roberts, who played through the pain barrier at the end of last season and needed surgery to correct damage to his wrist and ankle, is also fully fit and returns to the squad.

Apart from the 37-37 draw in the opening round of the Premiership (Sep 2003) the 35 points scored by Sale Sharks last Friday was the highest score the team has ever posted on the opening day of the Premiership.

Dwayne Peel dropped his first ever goal for the club last Friday while Tom Brady scored a try on his debut, mirroring Mark Cueto’s debut at Bristol back in 2001.

Eight players made their debut for Sale Sharks in the win over Newcastle Falcons.

Paul Williams, Tom Brady, Rhys Crane, Mark Cueto, Ben Cohen, Fergus Mulchrone, Kyle Tonetti, Andy Tuilagi, Nick Macleod, Matty James, Chris Leck, Will Cliff, Dwayne Peel

Sisa Koyamaibole, Dave Seymour, Carl Fearns, Sean Cox, James Gaskell (Captain), Nic Rouse, Wame Lewaravu, Karena Wihongi, Jack Forster, Neil Briggs, Marc Jones, Andrew Sheridan, Aston Croall, Eifion Lewis-Roberts
