Young Australian half-backs Michael Bond and Dane Haylett-Petty have signed for Biarritz Olympique, the French Top 14 rugby club confirmed on Tuesday.
The pair, who were targetted last month by Biarritz’s Australian coach Jack Isaac, are expected to join their teammates at last season’s European Cup runners-up later Tuesday.
Centre Bond, 23, played for North Brisbane after spells with Brisbane Broncos and rugby league side Sydney Roosters.
South African-born Haylett-Petty, 21, arrives from Western Force where the polyvalent back played eight Super 14 matches.
