Heineken Cup champions Toulouse will continue preparations without New Zealand scrum-half Byron Kelleher after he pulled out of training this week.
Kelleher missed training and is now in doubt for the start of the domestic season after he complained of pain in his jaw.
The former All Black will have to face further medical tests after he fractured his jaw playing for the Barbarians against Ireland on June the 5th.
Toulouse head coach Guy Noves is however taking Kelleher’s injury in his stride and insists that he is not overly concerned about the injury.
“He cracked his jaw playing for the Barbarians against Ireland and we don’t want to take any risks,” he told France24.
“It is an injury that we have to keep a close eye on but it shouldn’t affect his availability for the opening match.”
Toulouse will kick off their Top 14 campaign against newly-promoted Agen on August the 13th.
