Worcester Warriors players to be charged

Worcester Warriors players Chris Cracknell (pictured) and James Collins will be charged by the RFU for conduct prejudicial to the game.

The Rugby Football Union has reviewed reports submitted by Worcester Warriors and Leeds Carnegie into an incident at the end of the Guinness Premiership match on April 25.

The RFU then decided to take action against the players under RFU Rule 5.12 for conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game of Rugby Union.

The detail of the charges will now be formulated and a RFU disciplinary hearing chaired by Disciplinary Officer Jeff Blackett convened at a date to be decided.
