Bulls to play regular season matches at Loftus

The Bulls will be allowed to play their remaining Super 14 round-robin fixtures at Loftus Versfeld after agreeing to deliver FIFA an acceptable pitch.

There had been concern that the pitch needed more time to get to FIFA’s standards ahead of the 2010 Football world cup.

The meeting held between the Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation, Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd, Free State Rugby Union and SA Rugby was chaired in a very constructive manner by his Honourable Mr Komphela.

The Bulls will play on the 24th of April 2010 against the Auto and General Lions, 1st of May 2010 against the Sharks and 7th of May 2010 against the Crusaders at Loftus Versfeld as scheduled.

The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd and the City of Tshwane Metropolitan agreed to deliver an acceptable pitch to FIFA and also pledged their continued support towards the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
