Sale Sharks boss rubbishes takeover rumours

Sale Sharks owner Brian Kennedy has denied reports that he is looking at making replacements for his coaching staff.

The Sharks have struggled under Jason Robinson (pictured) Kingsley Jones who took over from Philippe Saint Andre and the club are now in a battle to avoid Guinness Premiership relegation.

As the club are struggling Jones and coach Jason Robinson have found themselves under increasing pressure.

However Kennedy has rubbished reports in a Sunday paper which said that he has lined up former All Black Mike Brewer or Dean Ryan to join the club

“This story is ridiculous. I know Mike Brewer through the Scotland RFU but to say I have approached him to take over is rubbish. ” he said on the club’s site.

“I received a phone call the other day from another journalist linking us with Dean Ryan, but that too is unfounded as I have never spoken to Dean in my life.”

Kennedy added,”Its been a tough season for everyone at the club and we are focussing all our energies on the last three games of the season against Bath, Newcastle and Harlequins.”
