Performance was un-acceptable : Brock James

Australian fly-half Brock James described his woeful Heineken Cup quarter-final performance as “crap” on Friday as his Clermont side were defeated 29-28 by defending champions Leinster.

James missed four penalties, one conversion as well as two, desperate, drop-goal attempts in the closing moments of an epic tie.

“Tonight I was crap. It was unacceptable,” said James.

“My performance was a disappointment for me as well as the team.

“It’s very frustrating.”

“On the penalties, it’s a technical problem.”

“There was a little wind but I can’t blame that.” he added.

“Now I will practice and watch the videos to see what the problem is.”
