England Boss Johnson finalises his bench

England team manager Martin Johnson completed his team selection for Sunday’s Six Nations match at Italy with the announcement of a forwards-dominated replacements bench that included uncapped prop Matt Mullan.


Worcester’s Mullan will be one of five forwards on the bench for a match against what can be one of the best scrummaging units in world rugby.


Mullan was selected Friday along with by prop David Wilson, hooker Steve Thompson, lock Louis Deacon and flanker Steffon Armitage Ben Foden has been dropped to leave scrumhalf Paul Hodgson and utility back Toby Flood as the only backs on the bench.
