Bristol Rugby re-sign two more players

After announcing the re-signing of James Phillips, Wayne Thompson and Junior Fatialofa last week, Bristol Rugby are please to confirm the commitment of two further players.


Iain Grieve and Adrian Jarvis have both extended their contracts with Bristol Rugby and, at this crucial time in the season, the news comes as another massive boost to the club.


Back-row forward Iain Grieve continues his rugby career with Bristol, having worked his way up through the Academy system. Born in Africa, Iain impressed in the 2007-8 season, although his progress was temporarily haltered with an injury that kept him out for the majority of 2008/9. The twenty-two year old has made a big impact on Bristol’s Championship season and has featured in sixteen league games, comfortably playing anywhere in the back-row.


Commenting on the signing, Paul Hull said,”Iain has outstanding work ethic and has bought into the Bristol culture, bringing a high level of professionalism with him in everything he does. He is extremely quick, with an aggressive defensive streak and we as a coaching team are pleased he has committed to Bristol.”


Completing five re-signings for the club in the past fortnight is Adrian Jarvis. The fly-half joined Bristol Rugby ahead of the 2008/9 season, quickly taking up position as the club’s first choice in the number 10 shirt. The twenty-seven year currently occupies the 5th spot in the league’s top points scorer, notching up a total of 145 points over seventeen games.


Paul continued,”As we have grown as a team this season, Adrian has grown with us, leading our attack with confidence and good leadership.”

 

“We are all happy that he has extended his contract with us, and it just further adds to the feel good factor that is present at the club.”
