Reds Schifcofske out with broken hand

QR Queensland Reds fullback Clinton Schifcofske is expected to be out of action for the next three weeks with a broken hand, sustained in last nights 26-20 loss to the Lions at Suncorp Stadium.

He will have a small operation to correct the break and Reds team management is hopeful he will be back in time for the Reds next Investec Super 14 home game, against the Chiefs on Saturday, March 24.

New Reds recruit Andrew Walker is now expected to come into consideration for the fullback role.

The Reds fly out for Dunedin early on Tuesday morning to prepare for their match against the ninth placed Highlanders.
