A Sireli Bobo double fired Racing Metro to a 23-20 win over Biarritz, the Parisian side’s seventh straight victory in the French Top 14 rugby union championship.
In a rearranged match, Jonathan Wisniewski converted both efforts by the Fijian flyer, as well as kicking two penalties and a drop-goal.
Takudzwa Ngwenya and Dmitri Yachvili scored tries for the home side, the scrum-half also kicking two penalties and a brace of conversions.
The victory saw the Pierre Berbizier-coached Racing team rise to fifth spot in the Top 14, while Biarritz picked up a bonus losing point and remain in 8th position.
“We’ve notched up seven consecutive victories but we all have experience that shows that it could come to a halt tomorrow,” said Racing captain Lionel Nallet.
“There are too many games remaining for us to talk about qualification” for the last-four play-offs, he said.
Biarritz captain Jerome Thion was left rueing his side’s inability to take their chances.
