Castres moved up into the top three of the French first division after a bonus point 25-21 win over bottom-placed Albi on Tuesday.
The three-tries-to-nil victory left Castres on 25 points from eight games in the Top14 , equal with Clermont, with defending champions Perpignan in pole position on 27 points.
Albi remain rooted to the bottom with just eight points accrued and just one win to their credit all season.
All of Albi’s points came from the boot, Frederic Manca nailing four penalties and one drop-goal, with Benjamin Lapeyre hitting a penalty and Kevin Boulogne a drop-goal.
