Top 14 club warned for PA system abuse

French  Top14 newcomers Racing-Metro, 18-14 victors over Montpellier on Saturday, have had their knuckles rapped for using their stadium’s public address system to encourage the home team.

The LNR, the body controlling the Top14 and Pro D2 divisions of rugby union in France, has had to remind Racing that using the PA to gee up home support against the visiting side, referees, officials or stewards is not allowed.

PA announcements in Racing’s three home matches this season have been numerous and often encouraging for the Parisian club.
