Valke will look to ground the Eagles

The Valke won’t be out as much to score tries but rather to prevent their opponents, the Eagles, from scoring when the teams clash in their First Division Currie Cup match at Kempton Park on Saturday.

The Eagles are on a mission to score tries in a dire attempt to keep their Promotion dream alive.

The home side have scored a massive 22 tries this season which is five more than the Eagles, who have crossed the goal line the least of all the teams this season, but the Valke have also conceded a total of 60 tries, which is the reason for their bottom of the log position.

It is also two more than the Griffons and the Bulldogs and the main reason why they have lost all eight their matches.

For this encounter Puma loan player Christiaan Els will again wear the number ten jersey after he helped out at short notice against the Elephants.

The amount of quality players in the Valke set up is growing thinner by the day with the news that two UJ players have decided not to make themselves available anymore.
