The Lions will be without their regular captain Cobus Grobbelaar when they meet Western Province in an important Currie Cup clash at Newlands on Saturday.
Kick-off 5.05pm.
Grobbelaar has been ruled out of the game due to a shoulder injury which he picked up in the game against the Sharks last weekend.
A further blow to the team is an heel injury which has ruled out vice captain, Willem Alberts.
Jano Vermaak will take the role of captaincy, a first for Vermaak.
Todd Clever will replace Willem Alberts and Derick Minnie replaces Cobus Grobbelaar.
