WP Currie Cup flank and the 2004 IRB Player of the Year Schalk Burger today announced that he had extended his contract with WP Rugby for a further two years (until the end of 2011).
Reaffirming his commitment to WP, the Stormers and the Newlands faithful, Burger said, “The Cape is my home, and I am passionate about Province and the Stormers and am very pleased to be contracted to play for a further two years.”
“I believe there is something exciting happening under the current coaching staff and am looking forward to the next two years of rugby in the Cape,” he added.
