Ireland’s Six Nations squad resumed training on Monday with coach Eddie O’Sullivan making six additions to his 25-man group ahead of tackling England at Croke Park on Saturday.
Leinster backs Kieran Lewis and Robert Kearney, plus Munster wing Barry Murphy, joined the squad, together with forward trio Bryan Young, Stephen Ferris and Trevor Hogan.
Some of the squad were in Magners League action for their provinces over the weekend, but O’Sullivan reported no injury concerns as the Irish seek to win their second consecutive Triple Crown.
Captain Brian O’Driscoll and scrum-half Peter Stringer are both expected to return after missing the 20-17 home defeat against France eight days ago.
O’Sullivan is due to name his starting line-up on Tuesday.
