Bob Casey will lead London Irish in its final match of the regular Guinness Premiership rugby season against Worcester Warriors at Sixways Stadium tomorrow (25th April), kick-off 3.00pm.
The return of the Exiles’ club captain, who has recovered earlier than expected from the arm injury he sustained in the away match with Bath on 21st February, is a major boost for the team ahead of tomorrow’s important encounter. London Irish needs two points at Sixways to guarantee a place in the Top 4 for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
Among the backs Delon Armitage moves to fullback with Peter Richards coming in at outside centre.
“Worcester will want to carry the momentum of Tuesday’s win over Gloucester into their semi-final in the European Challenge Cup next weekend given that their Guinness Premiership season is effectively over,” said London Irish Head Coach, Toby Booth.
“Having said that, the Warriors always provide stiff opposition at home so we know we’re in for another competitive match.
“After 21 rounds of the Premiership we’re still in control of our destiny and will be going all out to achieve a top four finish,” Booth concluded.
