Hurricanes suffer another injury blow

The Hurricanes have suffered another major injury blow ahead of their match against the Stormers in Wellington on Saturday this weekend.

Halfback Piri Weepu looks to be in serious doubt for the match, after limping out of training yesterday.

The Hurricanes had hoped to have him back for this weekend’s match as he missed last week’s match against the Stormers with a hamstring injury.

It was not all bad news for the Hurricanes as Scott Waldrom is expected to play after recovering from injury which forced him to miss the last two games with an abdominal muscle strain.

Even though the Hurricanes won the match last weekend after the full time siren hooker Andrew Hore has told NewstalkZB that they desperately needs to find a full eighty minute rugby performance.

He says that only five or six players are concentrating at any one time so they need to improve on this when they play the Stormers this weekend.

The Hurricanes line up is expected to be named later today.
