Scott Zimmermann, Franco-British prop with French second division side Bourg-en-Bresse, has signed a two-year deal with top flight outfit Brive, his club said Wednesday.
Zimmermann, 28, both to a French father and English mother, started out at La Rochelle, where he came under the wing of Jean-Pierre Elissalde and then Serge Milhas before a spell in England with second tier side Exeter prior to joining Bourg-en-Bresse.
This season he has been a regular, playing 16 of 19 matches.
Brive have recently recruited England international Riki Flutey and also extended the contracts of coaching duo Christophe Laussucq and Ugo Mola while also hanging on to Irish second rower Damian Browne and South African third row Antonie Claassen.
