Cheetahs in talks with former Lions fly half

Lions flyhalf Louis Strydom is on his way to the Free State after being overlooked for the Lions Super 14 squad.

The former Currie Cup winner with the Blue Bulls who started his provincial career with the Griffons, is involved in negotiations with the Cheetahs, according to the website of ofm.co.za.

With only Springbok Meyer Bosman and Jacques-Louis Potgieter as flyhalves in their squad, it is understandable that the Cheetahs have shown interest in Strydom.

Coach Naka Drotske has confirmed that talks are underway but has emphasised that no agreement has yet been reached.
