Bristol’s David Lemi suspended for two weeks

David Lemi of Bristol Rugby has been banned for two weeks for a dangerous tackle on Northampton Saints’ Paul Diggin.


Lemi pleaded guilty after being cited for the offence during the Guinness Premiership match at Franklin’s Gardens on January 3 and is suspended from January 8 (date of citing) to 21.


He can play again on January 22.


The RFU Disciplinary Panel at the offices of the Judge Advocate General, Chancery Lane, London comprised RFU Disciplinary Officer His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett (chair), Julian Morris and Jeremy Summers.
