Poitrenaud extends Toulouse deal

French international fullback Clement Poitrenaud has confirmed that he has signed a two-year contract extension at Toulouse.

The 23-year-old, who is in the French Six Nations squad, was out of contract and also said he had had contact with Londoners Wasps.

Poitrenaud’s claim, which has not been confirmed by the club, follows on from fellow back Cedric Heymans contract extension, also signed Wednesday.

Poitrenaud has twice won the European Cup with Toulouse, in 2003 and 2005, while also claiming the French title in 2001. He has 21 caps for France.
