No plain ‘Sale’ing for Tigers against Sharks

Leicester Tigers beat Sale Sharks at Welford road on Friday night by points to 30 points to 20 with the Sharks putting up a strong second half comeback. 


Leicester were without stars such as Toby Flood but the match did see a return to action for Lewis Moody.

 

The Tigers took a comfortable lead in the first half after they were awarded a penalty try which Derick Hougaard converted and he slotted two penalties for a half time score of 13-0.

 

In the second half Sale drew level when Chris Bell scored a try for Sale and Nick McLeod kicked two penalties and converted the try.

 

Leicester however bounced straight back with a try from Tom Youngs which Hougaard converted to give the Tigers a seven point lead.

 

Hougaard added a penalty and then Bell scored his second try to bring Sale back within 3 points after the conversion with only a few minutes remaining.

 

As the match came to an end Jordan Crane scored the last try of and Hougaard converted to give Leicester a ten point victory.
