French championship strugglers Toulon were hit by a double injury blow on Tuesday as it was announced Italian international lock Santiago Dellape and fellow second row forward Argentinian Esteban Lozada would miss Friday’s match with Montauban.
Dellape is set to miss six weeks – including his country’s autumn tests – after injuring right knee ligaments only days after the 29-year-old returned to the side having missed several weeks with another injury.
Lozada has a right ankle injury but is expected to return to training after the Montauban match.
Toulon have failed to sparkle thusfar this season on their return to the top division, presently they lie fourth from bottom just two points above the relegation places.
