Four try Ospreys beat Warriors in EDF Cup

The Ospreys won their second round EDF Energy Cup clash against Worcester Warriors at the Liberty Stadium beating them by 37 points to 22.

 

Gavin Henson made a memorable return for the Ospreys after his suspension by scoring a try for the home team.

 

Nikki Walker scored the first try of the match for the Ospreys which gave them a 16 -6 half time lead as Mathew Jones had only managed to score two penalties for the Warriors in the first half.

 

 

In the second half Sam Tuitupou managed to score a try for Worcester which Jones converted but the Ospreys were able to defend their first half lead through James Hook’s penalty kicking even though Matthew Jones returned with three of his own.

 

As the match was nearing the end Tommy Bowe scored the Ospreys second try in the half after Shane Williams had scored just after half time.
