Blue Bulls’ Springbok wing Akona Ndungane failed his fitness test on Monday and will consequently not be eligible for Saturday’s ABSA Currie Cup final against the Sharks in Durban.
The team doctor Org Strauss confirmed that Ndungane is not yet 100 percent and has ruled him out of the final.
“Akona started to run during the course of last week and he trained with the team on Monday morning, but his groin is not yet strong enough to play in a match.
