James returns for Bath Toulouse clash

Sitting pretty at the top of the Guinness Premiership table, attention now moves to the Heineken Cup and Bath Rugby are travelling to the Stade Municipal to face Toulouse on Sunday.

Delighted by the recent news that Butch James has now renewed his contract for another three years, taking him up to at least the 2011/12 season, Bath Rugby have had a timely boost ahead of their first Heineken Cup match since 2006.

“First and foremost, I think it is a clash of two great sides,” said skills and defence coach Brad Davis earlier this week.

“Toulouse are a great side and a joy to watch and I think they have a similar philosophy to us as to how they want the play the game. Whatever happens on Sunday, it is definitely going to be a cracker of a match.”

With Butch back to face the French side after being rested in the EDF Energy Cup game against Leicester, the renewal of his contract is a sure sign of the determination that Bath Rugby has.

“We all know what Butch brings to the table in terms of game management and skills. With Butch re-signing, things are looking very good for the club,” said Davis.
