Mark Van Gisbergen added to England training squad

Mark Van Gisbergen of London Wasps has been called up to the England squad to prepare for Saturday’s Investec Challenge match against South Africa at Twickenham Stadium (2.30pm).

 

Sackey also joins the squad after performing well in his debut against in the first of England’s two Autumn Internationals.

 

Meanwhile Charlie Hodgson will not play again this season and Andrew Sheridan is unlikely to appear before May, ruling him out of the 2007 RBS Six Nations Championship.

 

Sale Sharks have been hit hard this week losing Scottish captain White and now prop Sheridan and Hodgson.

 

Hodgson, Sheridan and White face surgery over the coming week and a lengthy period of rehabilitation.
