Robinson on borrowed time

Besieged English coach Andy Robinson still has the support of the man many critics are predicting will inevitably replace him, but only as far as the next two tests.

English Director of Rugby and respected former international Rob Andrew held a two hour meeting with Robinson, whose record in charge stands at 12 losses from 20 tests, and stated that his future hangs on his next two results.

Last weekend’s Twickenham loss to Argentina represented a horrific first home loss to the South Americans.

England will have to beat the Springboks this weekend to avoid setting a new record for the most consecutive losses by the England national side.

But with Andrews damning in his assessment of England’s performance last weekend and the national press scathing, two wins over South Africa may not be enough.
