Australia’s David Vacaliki and New Zealand’s Aferti Sua have been snapped up by French Top 14 championship club Albi, who are threatened with relegation to the second division.
Albi president Bernard Achilla did not specify the length of contracts however for 20-year-old Sua, who teams up with brother Ronny Uipa Sua at Albi, and for 28-year-old winger or centre Vacaliki, who have both made the switch to the 15-man code from the Wigan rugby league club.
Albi, who are under threat of relegation for financial reasons, must come before the appeals commission of the French rugby federation (FFR) and the French league (LNR).
