The Crusaders look set to lose the services of centre Casey Laulala for their weekend clash against the Blues on Friday.
Laulala went off unconscious in last week’s loss to the Chiefs after he and his opposite number Dwayne Sweeney bumped heads.
He was then taken immediately taken to hospital for assessment before rejoining his team-mates at their Hamilton hotel.
He will undergo an ‘impact’ test this week to assess whether there are any lingering effects.
“We will also follow how he feels,” Crusaders coach Robbie Deans said on the Stuff website.
“If he reports later he is not feeling 100 per cent he will be in doubt. If he has got any symptoms we will be very careful.
