The Cheetahs are having a seriously disappointing season. They are the Currie Cup champions but they look like they have lost all confidence and defensive abilities. This view is supported by the fact that they have the worst defensive record in the tournament so far.

17.00: Kurtley Beale then scored the first points of the match in the 17th minute when he kicked a penalty in front of the posts.


21.00: Lachlan Turner scored a great try under the posts from a intercept pass picked out by Phil Waugh in the middle of the field.


22.00: Kurtley Beale slotted the conversion.


27.00: The Cheetahs thought they had scored a try but the TV ref said that the tryscorer was held up and that he moved twice.


28.00: The Cheetahs then got the ball back from a scrum and David de Villiers beat Lote Tuqiri to the corner to score the try.


28.00: Meyer Bosman converted the try.


30.00: Rocky Elsom hit straight back with a try under the posts breaking the defence with a dummy that Hennie Daniller fell for.


31.00: Kurtley Beale slotted the conversion.


37.00: The Cheetahs give another penalty and Kurtley Beale slotted the kick.

44.00: The Cheetahs gave a penalty away at the start of the second half but Kurtley Beale was unable to turn it into points as his kick missed.


53.00: Jongi Nokwe kicked the ball up and dribbled the ball up to the line soccer style as he was chased bt Rocky Elsom. Jongi Nokwe picked up the ball at the perfect time and scored the Cheetahs second try.


54.00: The try was not converted by Meyer Bosman.


65.00:  Daniel Halangahu comes on as Sam Norton-Knight comes off.


67.00: Rocky Elsom makes a break with Lachlan Turner on his inside but he takes too long to pass the ball to Turner and the moves goes to waste as the defence catches up.


69.00: The Cheetahs get back into the game as Flip vd Merwe scores a try for the Cheetahs.


70.00: The Cheetahs are now in the hunt for the bonus point.


71.00: Meyer Bosman converts the try.
