Hernandez wants Leicester signing

Argentina’s World cup star Juan Martin Hernandez says that he wants to leave French club Stade Francais to join Leicester Tigers.

The Tigers have are currently coached by Marcelo Loffreda who was coach of the Argentina team that came third at the world cup.

Hernandez, 25, who plays fly-half for Stade is contracted at Stade until June 2009 but it is thought that the club will not block a move this summer should the right offer come in.

“I want a new challenge and that challenge is to join Leicester,” says Hernandez on the BBC website.

“Leicester is a top club who have ambitions and who win titles every year, or almost every year, like Stade Francais.

“I have always wanted to go to England to experience another top league, another style of play, a new style of life, another culture.”
