Blues boosted by Evans return

The Blues have been boosted by the news that fly-half Nick Evans should be fit to return in next week’s Super 14 match against the Stormers in Auckland.


The All Black playmaker was taken to hospital after an accidental clash with team-mate Nick Williams during the Blues 27-17 loss to the Western Force at North Harbour stadium on Saturday.


Evans moved to the Blues after last season from the Highlanders and has been a big part of the Blues attack in 2008.


Nick will undergo tests on Monday but they are said to be purely precautionary and he is expected to resume training on Tuesday.
