Huxley cleared of serious injury

Brumbies fullback Julian Huxley has been cleared of serious injury after suffering a knock to his head in Saturday’s 43-11 Super 14 win over the Queensland Reds.

Huxley was taken to a Canberra hospital in a neck brace mainly as a precaution after he began convulsing following a tackle on Reds lock James Horwill in the opening minutes of the match.

Huxley was kept under observation in the hospital overnight but he was released on Sunday after scans cleared him of serious injury according to local media.

Brumbies coach Laurie Fisher said that Huxley was unlikely to be considered for the Brumbies next match which is against the Waratahs in Sydney.
