England’s defensive coach Mike Ford is trying to turn the heat up on the Wallabies veteran No 9 George Gregan ahead of this weekend’s test between the two countries. In the Sydney Morning Herald Ford described Gregan as: “an east to west player, not a north-to-south player.” Nonetheless, Ford seems well aware of the threat his backline faces from a potent Aussie attack which will feature Lote Tuqiri, Stephen Larkham, Stirling Mortlock and Mat Rogers running hard at the inexperienced English backs.
