Boks lose Botha and Habana

Springbok coach Jake White’s injury fears have been proved right as Bakkies Botha and Bryan Habana have been ruled out of South Africa’s Test matches with Scotland in June after suffering injuries in the Super 14 Semi-final.

Before the Bulls snuck in the back door and qualified for the Super 14 semi finals, Jake White was said to have been pleased that no South African sides had qualified.

The Bulls played the Crusaders on Saturday and both Habana & Botha were injured in the 31-15 semi-final loss to the Crusaders, with Botha injuring his Achilles and Habana stretching an ankle ligament.

The loss is more bad news for coach Jake White, with CJ Van der Linde and Andre Pretorius already ruled out.

The Tests are in Durban on 10 June and Port Elizabeth one week later.
