Leicester end Gloucester’s home run

Leicester brought an end to Gloucester’s 22 game and 17month long unbeaten home record. Ollie Smith and Ayoola Erinle scored tries as the visitors outscored Gloucester who were without their leading try scorer Lesley Vainikolo who is on England duty in Italy.

The Cherry and Whites however remain at the top of the Premiership despite the defeat such was the lead they had on the table.

The visitors, Leicester led 3-7 at half time after ollie Smith scored a try which was converted by Andy Goode. All Gloucester could find in the first half was a penalty through Willie Walker.

Both teams scored a try in the second half. Gloucester picked up a bonus point which keeps them at the top of the table albeit by one point ahead of Leicester on 42 points after 12 games.
