Bristol Rugby has confirmed that second row forward Sean Hohneck will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Former New Zealand Maori Hohneck, who joined the club from the Waikato Chiefs in November 2006, has featured regularly for the first team this season after his first campaign was badly affected by a knee injury.
However, the lock, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has decided to make a lifestyle change and experience life in Italy and will continue his rugby career with Italian club Viadana.
Head Coach Richard Hill said today:”It’s a shame that Sean has decided to move on. He has been a key component in our lineout this season since recovering from his illness in the summer and will hopefully continue to be so.”
